Banana Recipes

So, I have baked approximately 37 loaves of banana bread since March. Anybody else feel this way? There is just something about a warm, fluffy piece of banana bread. Add butter on top and you’ve got a perfect snack.

A few weeks ago, I found myself once again with too many ripe bananas. I went out on a search for NEW banana recipes and I sure found a few keepers!

New Recipes

  • Cast-iron Chocolate Chip Banana Bread — Need I say more? This one is probably our favorite recipe out of the bunch. We enjoyed the chocolate chips in every bite!
  • Banana Oat Breakfast Cookies — If you are looking for an alternative for breakfast, this is a great. I didn’t try, but I do think they would freeze well, too.
  • Banana Bread Snack Cakes — The perfect cake-like texture. Sweet, with not an overwhelming banana flavor. The powdered sugar on top is just the little extra sweetness that is needed in this recipe!

Other Banana Recipes

  • Healthy Banana Bread — I have made this recipe SEVERAL times and absolutely LOVE it. I shared it originally in my February Recipe Round-up post. Go check out that post to see the recommended substitutions I made to decrease the fat and calories.
  • Easy Smoothies — If you have bananas that are too ripe, but don’t want to bake, make a smoothie! Or freeze to make a smoothie later. Either way, here is my quick and easy smoothie recipe that is kid approved!

Tell me what you do with your over-ripe bananas! I would love some extra ideas!

Enjoy and stay well,

Angie
