Friday Favorites: November 6, 2020

In times of stress, I tend to shop a lot. I am not endorsing this as a healthy coping mechanism, just telling you the truth! My shopping was a little bit all over the place this week, so here you will find a random collection of Friday Favorites, but it’s a good one.

We put up our Christmas tree this week, so I have been adding to the holiday cheer with pajamas and other decor. Hanging out in the living room, playing games with the kids with the sparkle of Christmas lights brings me JOY! Now more than ever, do what brings you JOY and don’t apologize for it.

Fashion Favorites

  • Walmart Pajamas — These $15 PJs have been my favorite new cozy set. They will come in and out of stock, so keep checking the link or my Instagram if you find them out of stock. They are a soft velour material, true to size and CUTE!
  • Christmas Dino Pajamas — I LOVE matching Christmas pajamas for the kids. Props to you ladies who can get your husbands on board! Not at my house. With my son getting older (he is 6) and having a little sister, I wanted to find a set that didn’t look too young, but she will still love. Who doesn’t love dinosaurs?
  • Amazon Bodysuit — I am not sure why it took me so long to try out a bodysuit, but I am a big fan! I may live in this bodysuit and my ultra high waist jeans from here on out. It is soft, true to size and washes well. You can dress it up or down. I wore it just yesterday to work with black dress pants.
  • Universal Thread Sweater — This sweater is a great everyday sweater. It comes in a ton of colors. Of course, I chose a dark gray, but there are several pretty colors! I sized up for an over-sized fit. You are likely to find it on sale, so I wouldn’t pay full price!
  • Aerie Good Vibes Sweatshirt — This will forever be my favorite sweatshirt of all time. I had 2 last year and they changed up the design a bit this year, but I like it even more! I sized up for a really over-sized fit, but my normal size would work too. Do not pay full price for this sweatshirt. I repeat, do not pay full price for this sweatshirt! They run them on sale all the time!

Kid’s Activities

  • Sushi Go — Another game we LOVE! It is really important for my husband and I to find games that we actually enjoy playing too. I also like finding games that are easy to pack up and take places. We take these card games to the grandparents house and on vacation!
  • Mini Flying Drone — We bought this for our 6-year-old for his birthday in June and he still plays with it all the time! It is fun for the entire family. We love to chase it around and see who can keep the drone from falling to the ground. My kids think this toy is too cool!
  • I Spy Everything book — This is a great book for a child learning letters! We bought this last year for my then 3-year-old and she has LOVED it for a year. Even though she knows all the “answers”, she asks to go through and read the book often. The illustrations are amazing!

Christmas Decor

Merry Christmas Tree
Merry Christmas Pillow
Merry Christmas Rug
  • 2 ft Christmas tree — The kids have been asking for trees in their rooms, so I purchased these 2 ft pre-lit trees and they are the perfect size! I let them pick out their own ornaments and decorate them. Pure JOY!
  • Bath rug and towels — I love a touch of Christmas in every room! A cute rug and towels is an easy way to add in Christmas to the bathrooms. My kids were thrilled at the idea!
  • Christmas Pillow — Again, I love a touch of Christmas everywhere! A pillow is another easy way to decorate!

As times get stressful and Christmas shopping nears, I do have to remind myself not to make impulse buys! I am in the process of making a LIST before I start purchasing Christmas gifts and I recommend you do the same. It is easy to get caught up in the sales and deals (believe me, I know!), but make sure it is something that you would actually purchase otherwise. Just a little tip that I try to follow. Make a list so you don’t get overwhelmed!

Have a great weekend! I will be back Monday with a meal planning post with Crockpot meals!

XOXO,

Angie
