The Power of Protein

Protein. A very important macronutrient that I was not giving enough attention to a year ago. When I started to track my macros, I learned that I was not eating near enough protein. Want to learn about tracking macros, read my post HERE.

Why does our body need protein? Every cell in our body contains protein. Protein is a macronutrient, meaning it plays a large role in our body. In order to eat a well-balanced diet, you need to eat all of the macronutrients: protein, carbohydrates and fats.

Do you know what foods contain protein and how much? No? Well, I have created a one-page list of sources of protein for you. Downloadable list: Protein Food List. Make sure you are including incorporating protein by using my Meal Planning tips. Save this list, print it out, and plan protein in your next meal or snack!

For a basic calculation of how much protein you should use, I recommend using MyFitnessPal to track macros.

I would love to hear from you if you use this list! Leave a comment. Find me on social media and tag your friends!
